Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children – Die Insel der besonderen Kinder

Im Paper Whimsy Forum haben wir einen Buchclub gegründet. Das heisst, wir lesen alle gemeinsam ein Buch und gestalten dann dazu eine 4×4 Seite. Das erste Buch ist “Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children”. In der deutschen Übersetzung heisst das Buch “Die Insel der besonderen Kinder”. Es ist ein tolles Buch und dazu erscheint auch bald der Kinofilm. 20 x soll die Seite gewerkelt werden. Dazu wird der Hintergrund und ein Teil der Geschichte digital herstellt und dann mit Embellishments verziert. Ich kann Euch meine digitale Seite schon einmal zeigen. Sie ist noch ohne Embellishments. Ich hoffe, es gefällt Euch und ich sage Danke fürs schauen und Eure lieben Kommentare.

Sketchbook Project 2011

Darüber denke ich nun seit einigen Tagen schon nach. Soll ich … oder soll ich nicht….reizen würde es mich ja schon….Ok ich habe es getan…Ich bin dabei, beim Sketchbook Project 2011. Es ist eine tolle Idee und ich musste einfach dabei sein. Zum Projekt: Kreative Menschen aus aller Welt können sich ein leeres Sketchbook bestellen. Dieses wird dann mit dem ausgesuchten Thema gefüllt. Mein Thema lautet: “In 5 Minutes”.  Dann wird dieses bis zum 15. Januar 2011 zurückgeschickt und geht dann mit allen anderen Sketchbooks auf eine Tournee durch die USA. Es wird in Museen und Galerien bis zum März 2011 ausgestellt und dann kommt es wieder zurück nach New York und wird ein Teil der “Brooklyn Library”. Die Bücher werden alle mit einem Barcode versehen und man bekommt zusammen mit dem leeren Sketchbook eine Bibliothekskarte. Mit dieser kann ich mir in ein paar Jahren mein eigenes Sketchbook in New York wieder ausleihen. Ich finde die Idee total cool und freue mich zusammen mit vielen anderen kreativen Menschen ein Teil dieses Projektes zu sein. Nun warte ich auf mein Buch und werde Euch auf dem laufenden halten und Euch mein fertiges Buch auch zeigen.

Now I already think about it for a few days. If I should go … or I should not go …. it would already irritate me…. OK, I have done it… I participate in the Sketchbook Project 2011. It is a great idea and I simply had to be present. To the project: Creative people from all over the world can order themselves an empty Sketchbook. Then this is filled with the select theme. My theme is: ” In 5 Minutes “. Then this is sent back up to the 15th January, 2011 and then goes with all other Sketchbooks on a tour through the USA. It is issued in museums and galleries up to March, 2011 and then it comes again back to New York and becomes a part in the ” Brooklyn of Library “. The books will provide everything with a cash code and one gets together with the empty Sketchbook a library card.With this I can borrow in a few years my own Sketchbook in New York again. I find the idea totally cool and am glad together with many other creative people to be a part of this project. Now I wait for my book and will hold you on the running one and show you my ready book also.

My Notes

Gestern habe ich mir endlich mal ein Notizbuch für mich gebastelt. Der Zylinder und die Schrift sind mit 3D Lack hervorgehoben. Das “y” sieht man leider nicht richtig, da habe ich mit dem Rub-On ein wenig gefuscht. Lässt sich also nimmer ändern. Mir gefällt es trotzdem. Danke fürs schauen.
